Our moulding and casting process is designed to make everything as comfortable as possible for our clients and their children.

If you live within our catchment area in Yorkshire the initial moulding process is carried out in the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you. The moulding will normally take less than an hour, and can place at any time of day, including evenings and weekends.

Cherished Moments uses only the finest medical grade Alginate for the moulding. This natural material is actually a derivative of seaweed, so safe that it’s actually used by dentists to take impressions of the inside of children’s mouths.

From mixing the Alginate to completion of the moulding process on each hand and foot normally only takes a few minutes. Even when the Alginate is set, it is still very easy to gently remove baby’s hand or foot and leave a perfect mould for the casting to take place.

Once we have all the moulds made it’s then back to our studio to create the perfect replica in either fine cast marble or cold cast bronze or copper which will last for years.

We will be back in touch within three to four weeks to arrange delivery of your finished piece. Only when the piece has been delivered and you are completely satisfied with it are you asked for payment, and if for any reason you are not completely satisfied then don’t worry you will not be asked for a single penny. But we know you will love it.
